Leicester Longwool fleece is lovely to work with. I wash it before I start, and although there may be quite a bit of lanolin (especially around the armpits!) it washes out to a lovely white lustrous fibre ( I have included a photo of a bit of the fleece I removed as part of the skirting - it looked awful, but as you can see, in two hours with a bit of hand wash liquid, it came up lovley!!) The fleece has a definate wave to it, is easy to spin, and you finish with a dense lustrous yarn. It needle felts well and is also good for wet felting.
